Positive Behaviour Support

PSG provides Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services across the Perth metropolitan area and wider Western Australia, including regional and remote areas, focusing on understanding behaviours and their underlying causes, recognising them as a form of communication, and working with participants and their support networks to create practical, long-term strategies that build capacity.

At PSG, our approach is person-centred, respectful and evidence based. We work closely with participants, families, carers and service providers to develop strategies tailored to each individual’s needs, goals and environment.

Our aim is to reduce behaviours of concern through skill development, increased independence and the creation of safe, consistent and supportive environments that enable you to achieve your goals. We work closely with your support network to provide guidance and training so strategies can be implemented consistently and effectively, while ensuring all supports and plans align with NDIS guidelines and focus on reducing restrictive practices.

At PSG, we focus on clear communication and practical, hands-on support, delivering Positive Behaviour Support in a flexible way using technology such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, email and phone where appropriate. This reduces unnecessary travel, increases flexibility for participants and families, and supports consistent implementation of strategies. For new referrals, we offer an initial consultation to understand your needs and determine the right approach.
